These are the Things That I Know For Sure

I just felt like spouting a little today. Sometimes it just hits me that I've actually learned a few things in my short time on the planet and I just wanted to share a few of my recent observations on life.
1. When in doubt about the "right thing" to say to someone, go for a compliment or a funny observation.
2. If someone you know accomplishes something extraordinary, send them a handwritten note. You will be surprised how much they will appreciate it.
3. Talk to children in social situations where their parents may be distracted. The child will always remember you and the parent will be grateful for it.
4. Make new friends.
5. Leave a legacy of love to your children.
